Step-by-step guides, recorded
Record it once.
Every click is a step.
Do the task the way you always do. Chronika captures each click with its screenshot, blurs the passwords, and hands you a guide you can share with one link.

What is Chronika?
Chronika is step-by-step guide software and a process documentation tool. Record a task once, in a Chrome or Edge tab or any Windows program, and every click becomes a step with its screenshot. Tidy the steps, blur anything private, then share the how-to guide as one link or export it to PDF, Word, HTML or Markdown.
- Recorders
- Export formats
- Workspace roles
- Password characters kept
Two recorders (a browser extension and a Windows app), four export formats (PDF, Word, HTML, Markdown), four roles in a team workspace, and nothing typed into a password field is ever stored.
01How it works
Three moves. One guide.
No screenshots to crop, no steps to number by hand. You do the work; Chronika writes down what you did.
Record
Press record in Chrome or in the Windows app, then do the task. Every click becomes a step with its screenshot and a ringed click.
Tidy
Rename steps, reorder them, blur, crop and annotate. Add a tip or a warning. If you turned AI on, it drafts the title and the text for you to review.
Share
Send one public link, keep it inside your workspace, or export to PDF, Word, HTML or Markdown. Or have a colleague follow it live with Guide Me.
02Capture
Record a tab, or any Windows program
The Chrome and Edge extension records a browser tab. The Windows app records one window or a whole screen. Both feed the same library of guides.
- One step per click, with the screenshot and the click ringed
- Narrate while you record; the words line up with the steps
- Steps upload as they happen, so a long recording is not lost
03Edit
Tidy it until it reads at a glance
Every step is one instruction and one picture. Blur what should not be seen, crop to what matters, circle the button, and add a tip where people go wrong.
- Blur, crop, zoom and annotate each screenshot
- Reorder, hide, duplicate and delete steps; add tips, notes and alerts
- Optional AI write-up that you review, apply and can undo
Tip
Over €1,500 needs your manager’s approval first.
04Share
One link, or a file
Send a read-only link that works without an account, or keep guides inside your workspace. Export when a guide has to live somewhere else.
- Public read-only links you can turn off any time
- PDF, Word, HTML and Markdown exports with the click rings drawn in
- Collections, workspaces and roles keep a team’s library in order

05Guide Me
Walk them through it, live
A guide can run as a player, one step at a time, or as an overlay on the real site through the extension, pointing at the thing to click next.
- A step-by-step player for any guide
- Guide Me on the live site, driven by the extension
- The step being read is always the one that is lit
06Meet Chronie
She edits the guide while you watch
Open any guide and ask. Chronie reads it, changes it, tells you what she did, and one click puts it back.
- Tighten every step title
- Write the introduction
- Add a tip before the risky step
- Translate it to Spanish
- Hide the steps nobody needs
She changes the guide’s content: titles, text, order, tips, marks on screenshots, which collection it is in. She does not share it, delete it or open your screenshots. Chronie needs an AI provider, which whoever runs Chronika sets up.

Edits this guide with you
Tighten the step titles and warn people about the approval limit.
Done. I shortened the titles to plain instructions and added an alert before the submit step about the manager approval.
Changed03
- Rewrote 5 step titles
- Added an alert: “Over €1,500 needs approval”
- Rewrote the introduction

07Two recorders, one library
Browser and Windows, in the same guide
Most work happens in more than one place. Record the browser part and the desktop part, and keep both in one guide.
Chrome and Edge extension
Record a tab, add steps to an existing guide, and run Guide Me on the live page. Loaded from the zip your account provides.

09Careful with your screens
Built to keep what it sees to itself
A recorder sees everything on the screen. These are the things Chronika does about it.
Passwords are blurred before upload
Password fields are detected and blurred in the screenshot on your computer, and what you type into them is not recorded. If a picture cannot be made safe, it is left out.
Recorders act as you, and only you
Each recorder connects with a personal token that is shown once and stored only as a hash. It can do what your account can do.
Your sign-in, your rules
Email and password to start, plus Microsoft Entra ID, Google or any OIDC provider for teams. AI is optional, and you can leave it off.
