For IT teams
Answer it once.
Link it forever.
Password resets, VPN set-ups, access requests, new laptops. Do the fix once with the recorder on, and the next ticket gets a link instead of a call.

How to request a laptop
In short
Chronika is documentation software for IT teams. Record a fix once, whether it happens in a web console or a Windows program, and each click becomes a step with its screenshot. Password fields are blurred before upload. The next ticket gets a link to the guide instead of a call, and the guides live in one workspace.
01How it works
Record it. Share it. Fix it. Keep it.
Say the VPN client throws an error at 8am. Fix it once with the recorder on, and every ticket after that gets a sentence and a link.
Capture it as you work
Record the fix while you do it
Open the recorder, run the fix the way you always do, and stop. Every click becomes a step with its screenshot. That covers web portals and admin consoles, and also the installers and settings panels that never open in a browser.
- The Chrome and Edge extension records a tab; the Windows app records any window or a whole screen
- Talk through the odd step as you go; the narration stays lined up with the steps
- Steps upload as they happen, so a long fix is not lost if the browser pauses the extension
Share it where work happens
Put the link in the ticket reply
A guide is one link. Paste it into a ticket, a chat or an email. With the public link on, the reader needs no account. Turn it off and the link stops working.
- Public read-only links, with the screenshots served only through the link
- Export to PDF, Word, HTML or Markdown for a wiki or a runbook
- Guide Me walks someone through the task on the live page, through the extension
Fix the painful parts
Keep credentials and internal names off the page
IT screens show things that should not travel. Password fields are detected and blurred in the screenshot on your computer before anything uploads, and what you type into them is not recorded. For the rest, blur or crop before you share.
- Hide a step you only needed for yourself without deleting it
- Put an alert before the click that can lock an account or wipe a profile
- Recorders connect with a personal token that acts with your own permissions and no more
Keep the library in order
One shelf the whole team can find things on
Use a team workspace with collections for VPN, accounts and hardware. Editors record and fix guides. Viewers read them. When a portal changes, edit the steps that moved instead of starting over.
- Four roles: owner, admin, editor and viewer
- Collections file guides; deleting a collection keeps its guides, unfiled
- Deleted guides go to Trash before they are gone for good
02Example guides
Guides you would record
These are the kinds of guides an IT team could record. They are examples, not customer work.
- 01How to connect to the company VPN
- 02How to reset your password
- 03How to request a laptop or a second monitor
- 04How to map a shared drive
- 05How to set up work email on your phone
- 06How to ask for access to a shared mailbox
Tip
Over €1,500 needs your manager’s approval first.
03What you get
What Chronika does for an IT desk
- Records a browser tab or any Windows window, in one library
- Blurs password fields before upload and never keeps what is typed in them
- Lets you blur, crop, zoom and annotate any screenshot
- Adds tips, notes and alerts to a step
- Signs people in with email and password, or Microsoft Entra ID, Google or any OIDC provider when you set it up
- AI is optional: use it for write-ups and Chronie, or leave it off
